Absolutely! We keep this exclusive to only those who are booked with Moore Ranch. MR provides many unique backdrops for your pictures including huge ancient oak trees which are estimated to be between 350 and 500 years old. Also, there are many old barns, buildings, antique trucks, tractors and equipment. One building that is very popular with the photographers is the old #12 jailhouse. Built in the 1940’s, it was used to house German P.O.W.’s that were sent to work on the farm during World War II.
A refundable $500 security deposit is required to hold a reservation for the specified date of the contracted event for weddings/receptions. The security deposit is separate from and in addition to the rental fee and will not be applied toward the rental fee. The security deposit only becomes refundable once the event takes place and no damages occur. If the event is cancelled for any reason, the security deposit will be forfeited. The rental fee must be paid in full 60 days prior to the date of the contracted event. If the rental fee is not received 60 days before the event, the security deposit and contracted date will be forfeited. We accept credit cards and also have monthly payment plans available.
Security may be required based upon the number of guests in attendance and whether or not alcohol is being served. All security personnel shall be state certified police officers. There is a four hour minimum per officer and the charge is $35.00 per hour. For events with 200 guests or less, one officer may be required. Larger events may require multiple officers. MR will arrange for security when it is needed for an event.
You must contact one of our independently contracted providers to obtain a TABC licensed and insured bartender for your event. All alcohol at MR must be served by a bartender from one of the approved vendors.
At Moore Ranch our parking lot will hold approximately 100 vehicles. We also have an unlimited amount of space for parking in the surrounding pastures if the weather permits.
You may choose your own vendors, however Moore Ranch must approve of them.
Rice, real flower petals, bubbles, sparklers, etc. Please NO glitter, confetti or birdseed.
Yes, however some limitations exist. The following items are prohibited in decorating and may not be used on the property: nails, screws, tacks, staples, tape, glitter and confetti. Also, hay bales and large animals are not allowed inside the facility.
Our venue can hold approximately 200 guests on the inside and our outdoor space is unlimited. We also have a huge back porch with fans where additional seating can be arranged.
Yes, everything at Moore Ranch is handicap accessible including all bathrooms.
Twenty 60″ round tables, two 12ft rectangular tables, four 8ft rectangular tables, four 6ft rectangular tables and 400 white resin chairs with padded seats.
The facility is booked according to availability, so if the Event Center is open, any party can reserve it. However, keep in mind that many events are booked well in advance.
The whole facility is approximately 6,200 square feet. The main room is roughly 70' x 40'. The bar/lounge area is 23' x 40'. The foyer/entrance area is 23' x 40'. The serving area is 11' x 40'. The caterer’s kitchen is 17' x 17'. The bridal room is 17' x 21'. The back porch is 15' x 90'. The pergola is 8 feet tall, 14 feet from post to post across the front and 10 feet from front post to back post.
Certainly! We always have to prepare for sudden changes in the weather here in Texas. We have numerous ceremonies indoors throughout the year so you can rest assured knowing your special day will not be ruined because of the weather. We have a fabulous indoor backup option!

Yes, Moore Ranch has many different options for outdoor weddings which can all be seen on the gallery page. All the sites are facing west over looking the Brazos River Bottom and when timed just right, the sunsets provide a breathtaking backdrop.
